171015-N-CZ893-0172 ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 15, 2017) Quartermaster 3rd Class William Frost, assigned to the coastal patrol ship USS Hurricane (PC 3), uses a telescopic alidade to call out the ship’s bearing while underway in the Arabian Gulf. USS Hurricane is one of 10 coastal patrol ships assigned to Naval Surface Squadron (CNSS) 5, which is forward deployed to Manama, Bahrain, in support of maritime security operations and theatre security cooperation efforts in the 5th Fleet area of operations.
