Hydroelectric dam and salmon fish ladder in Pitlochry at the south end of Loch Faskally
Editorial use only. The dam features a famous salmon fish ladder with a viewing chamber. The ladder runs from right to left then under the road and back up to the right where the salmon can enter Loch Faskally. Loch Faskally on the other side of the dam was created artificially when the structure was built. Pitlochry is one of the important tourist destinations in Scotland much frequented by visitors enjoying shopping and good food as well as visiting the Festival Theatre and the attractive surrounding Perthshire country side.
