He received his early educa-tion at the Friends private school at then went to the George school at Newtown,where he graduated, and in 1899 matriculatedat the Hahnemann Medical College in Phila-delphia, from which he received his M. D. de-gree in 1903, and in the same year passed theNew Jersey state medical examination and k. SlATE OF NEW JERSEY 8oi became juniur resident physician at the Na-tional HonKT;o()athic Hospital at of Columbia. One year later he be-came the senior resilient physician, and in 1905opened an office on Market street, Salem, wherehe is now engaged in the general practice of hisprofession. He is a member of the New Jer-sey State Medical Association and of theSalem County .Medical Society. He married,June 18. 1909, Mary Clayton, of Woodstown,New Jersey. (\III) Bernard Aubrey, fourth child ofWilliam Thomas and Eliza (Gillingham) Hilii-ard, was born at Salem, New Jersey, August 24, 1885. He attended the Salem publicschools, and in June, 1903, graduated from theFriends Central School of Philadelphia, afterwhich he took a position as bookkeeper in theCity National Bank of Salem, of which hisfather is the president, and is now serving inthat capacity.
