We are told that it requires the expenditure of 967 degrees to form steam from water at 32 degrees, and on this basis, while approximately 950 degrees will be required to turn well water at its usual temperature into steam, only 850 de- grees will be required if the water has an initial temperature of 150 degrees, and still less if it is returned at a J^Jgher temperature.
