He is shown engaged in the production of Browning machine guns at the Winchester Repeating Arms Co. in New Haven, Conn. The image captures the first two stages of manufacturing the receiver. This photo was approved by W. G. D. for release to the Photo Division. Lt. Lentz tragically died on February 10, 1918. Additional notes indicate the image's serial number: 08596.
