Young woman looks on helplessly as a Juvenile Minke Whale struggles in shallow water off the coast off North Uist, Scotland.
On the 16th May 2014 on Balranald Beach on North Uist, Outer Hebrides a juvenile female Minke Whale (approx. 3-4 years old) was found struggling in shallow water. A young woman Ferne Glannan-MacRae watches on helplessly as the young mammal struggles. Within 2 hours the Whale had lost her fight for survival, became beached and died.
