MODEL RELEASED. Genetics. Conceptual artwork of a genetic code superimposed over a woman's face. The letters represent the four nucleotide bases of DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid); adenine (a), thymine (t), guanine (g) and cytosine (c). The sequence of triplets of these bases code for different amino acids, the building blocks of proteins. Sets of triplets are grouped into sections called genes. Each gene codes for a specific protein. DNA determines each cell's structure, function and behaviour.
