The milling of the bolting slotsafter hardening and tempering elimin-ate* any variation which might be ex-perienced through the change in lengthproduced by the hardening. This se-quence is rendered possible by the useof mild steel for the body of the knife. Edging and Finishing The final sharpening or edging of theknife is done on a Bridgeport EmeryWheel Co. machine.
