NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Nov. 30, 2018) Machinist’s Mate (Nuclear) 2nd Class Blayden Mcleod, from Four Oaks, North Carolina, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford’s (CVN 78) reactor department, is pinned to his current rank during a promotion ceremony in the ship’s forecastle. More than 125 Ford Sailors advanced from the Fall 2018 Navy-wide advancement exam. Ford is currently undergoing its post-shakedown availability at Huntington Ingalls Industries-Newport News Shipbuilding.
