A Styrian broadsword, late 16th century Iron hilt, low mushroom-shaped pommel decorated with helical grooves, the open, edged knuckle bow attached to a large, grooved shell guard on the obverse by an S-shaped bar. Long quillons consisting of a round bar with the ends bent towards the point and the pommel, ball-shaped finials. Guard bars with thumb guard on the reverse. Original grip cover with Turk's head, wire wrap missing. Double-edged blade of lenticular section, both sides with fullers and deep, crowned Styrian Pi marks.
