The Little Tower, Frederiksø, Bornholm, Denmark. Frederiksø and The Little Tower is part of the fortification system at Christianø, and from which it is just seperated by a few meter of water. The Little Tower was housing the amunition storage for the fortress. Christiansø is a tiny (22 hectare) island a couple of hours sailing out of Gudhjem. In 1684 king Christian V a seafort on the island, which is still owned by the Ministry of Defence. No cars are allowed on the island, which have about 100 inhabitans, living in the old romantic stone houses, built by king Christian for his soldiers. The island funtioned as a military installation until 1855. Some 60 - turists visits the island per year. Everything on the island - from buildings to even the vegetation is listed and dogs are not allowed.
