Himba people in the remote Opuwo region of Namibia
These women of the the Himba are semi-nomadic pastoralists whose customs and language have remained unchanged for centuries. Their skins are dyed from mixing red ochre with rancid butter. They also wear ornate jewelry and are often seen with their babies.
