Army Pfc. Nicholas Rios, Headquarters Headquarters Company, 109th Regional Support Group, South Dakota Army National Guard, is named the 2018 SDARNG Soldier of the Year, Sept. 9, 2018, in Rapid City, Rios, receiving the award from State Command Sgt. Maj. James Hoekman, will represent South Dakota at the Region 6 Best Warrior Competition scheduled to be held in North Dakota, spring 2019.
