The ground is on the edge of black bear park. It has a rugby pitch but no changing or shower facilities. There is a large uneven car park and the park joins on to the Trans-pennine way. There is a rugby pitch and two football pitches and a recently re-built play area for young and not-so-young children. Loushers Lane Recreation ground is frequently used by dog walkers.
