I have myself met with six of these simple dislocations whichwere not reduced, three of which, however, had not been recognized, and noattempt at reduction had ever been made; one had been treated by an empiric,Sweet, a natural bone-setter, but without success; one had been reduced, butit had become redislocated, and in the remaining example I was unable toreduce the dislocation on the seventh day.
