The caption explains: "As soon as it was detected by us, the Austrian battery using heavy artillery against Tarnow was silenced by our artillery with shrapnel fire. In Bukovina our advanced units captured the Kyrle Baba Pass, in a battle located on the border with Transylvania and on the highway leading from Cîmpulung to Sighetu Marmaţiei and Dej [present-day Romania]."
