Dean Incent's House, High Street, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. Dean Incent’s House has not changed much since it was built in 1500. It is a marvellous half-timbered building with overhanging upper storey, and one of the oldest domestic buildings in the High Street. John Incent lived here. He was Dean of St Paul’s Cathedral from 1540 to 1545, and founded Berkhamsted School. His arms as Dean hang outside the house.
