Carpenter's principles of human physiology . $ttttfj Gfcttiou LONDONJ. & A. CHURCHILL, NEW BURLINGTON STREET 1881 .33 V ivi m A EDITORS PEEFACE. In the preparation of this Edition the general arrangement of thework has been preserved, except that the sections on Pathologyhave been condensed, partly with the view of reducing the size ofthe volume, and partly because large treatises are now devoted tothis subject, which, when the earlier editions of the work werepublished, was still in its infancy.
