Nepal, on mountains. Height 10 ft. to 18 ft. Introduced in 1831. Flowers white. Closely resembling C. vir- giniana, but rather more hoary; and equally hardy, though it has not yet flowered freely in the open air. A shoot intro- duced into the inside of a stove in the Chelsea Botanic Gar- den, from a plant on the out- side, flowered there in 1833. Frequent in nurseries as C. nepalenSis. ;. ntmaUsgrita. -^ 7.
