An example of a type of home architecture peculiar to Broken Hill where the house is clad in corrugated iron and the front verandah is supported by four neo-classical style columns. A feature is that many of the homes often have evaporative air conditioning unit on the corrugated iron roof; a very innovative idea at the time they were built.
