The prehistoric lakeside settlement of Dispilio, in lake Orestias, Kastoria, Macedonia, Greece

Here you can see the eco-museum in Dispilio (a small town very close the the most beautiful town of Macedonia, Kastoria) a "replica" of a prehistoric (neolithic) lakeside settlement, located right besides the archaelogical site where true signs of the neolithic era were discovered. The recreation was absolutely based on the real finding of the excavations. The excavations are open to the public and you can also visit a small museum. According to the archaeologists, this is one of the oldest settlements in Europe, with an "age" of years.
