Seed mass of Chenopodium / Goosefoot - common agricultural weeds - in the corner of a field. Possibly Chenopodium album - SEE NOTES for more detail.

Taken in a colony of Chenopods in waste ground field corner. Other specimens photographed were C. ficifolium / Fig-Leaved Goosefoot with its' characteristic 3-pointed leaf shape. However I didn't check the upper leaves of the plant in this image, and there are no good identifying leaves here. This could even be C. album / Fat-hen, while there's the possibility of a mixed Chenopod colony in this instance. - Whatever the case, if you are looking for a generic Chenopod weed shot then this should be perfectly fine, since the physical structure of that plant Family will be easily recognised by anyone involved in farming, gardening, weed control and the like. Irrespective of the actual specific Chenopod species.
