A German knightly sword, 11th century Robust, double-edged blade with flat fullers on both sides that almost reach to the point. The upper third on both sides with three gold-inlaid letters between straight-arm crosses. Strong quillons of square cross-section, slantwise deformed by rust. The base of the tang fullered, semicircular pommel with tapering profile. Length 97 cm.
