PHILIPPINE SEA (MAY 6, 2022) Cmdr. Nick Hoffman, from Elk Grove, California, the executive officer of Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105), reads an award citation during an all-hands awards quarters on the ship’s flight deck. Dewey is assigned to Commander, Task Force 71/Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the 7th fleet’s principal surface force.
