Size large ; general colour chocolate-brown, with the tail mainly white above; skull elongated, with long nasals, and the long axis of the lachrymal pits (which form irregular ovals) nearly coincident with that of orbits. Basicranial length in subadult male 7 inches, in adult female 7j inches;.
