Pierrepont came to Brooklynwhile a young man, and in 1804 bought the Benson Farm,where he resided until his death. He was instrumental in thelaying out of the streets in Brooklyn during the early part ofthe nineteenth century. This portrait is still in the possession of a canvas: H. 30^2 inches; W. 25^ inches.
