Family and friends await to reunite with Coast Guard Cutter Waesche (WMSL 751) crewmembers as the cutter returns home to Base Alameda, California, following a 90-day counternarcotics patrol, March 31, 2023. Waesche’s crew interdicted two suspected drug-smuggling vessels while patrolling international waters of the Eastern Pacific Ocean, resulting in the seizure of approximately 881 pounds of cocaine and 9,500 pounds of marijuana.
