We got home a little after our regularbedtime but as soon as we hit the frontsteps everyone was up to ask about thegame. We rested as much as possible overthe week-end for the finals. On Monday we got out of school about2:00 to come home to get some goodhot soup. We got to Barium about 6:00oclock that evening and had about an hourto rest before the game. While dressing,Evelyn Cooper, our captain, presented ourBarium Springs sponsor, Peggy Neal, a box Josephine Packett. ONE IS TO GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL IN 1950 OTHER NEWS ITEMS In the last issue of Our Mountain Workwe mentioned the fact that we would havea senior, Josephine Packett, to graduatefrom high school this year and that shewanted to go to college to prepare herselfas a teacher. Since that time we have beenable to get a work scholarship for her,which will help, then from two othersources some financial aid has been prom-ised. We are still a little short of the fullamount needed. We have two new little boys who came of candy from our team and coach. Thiswas to show our appreciation to her forthe kind things she had done for us. We met Barium Springs girls at 7 It was a hard fight from beginning toend. At the first quarter they were leadingus 13 to 6. We tied twice in the secondquarter and at the half we were leading byonly two points, 27 to 25. In the last halfwe stayed ahead and the final score was 50to 43. We enjoyed our trips to Barium, hadsome wonder
