Juan Cortez, health care specialist, Bravo Company, 2nd Platoon, 1st Battalion, 141st Infantry Regiment, Task Force Alamo, Texas National Guard, deployed to Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, Djibouti, sprints across a bridge during the first-ever military exercise at the Port of Djibouti, Dec. 19, 2018. Cortez was the lead medic in the casualty evacuation exercise, which included Navy, Army and Djibouti Port Authority assets.
