Bach remedy therapy. Therapist using a coil and electromagnetic apparatus (machine in background, wires at left on patient) on a liquid flower extract from the range known as Bach remedies (lower right, one in glass in hand). These were developed by the English physician Edward Bach (1880-1936), who believed that illness was caused by physiological or a psychological imbalances within the body. He claimed these could be treated using medicinal extracts of plants which he thought were released into spring water in sunlight. The 38 remedies he created were designed to treat the whole person and not just their symptoms.
