The supply of Cecile Brunner is small, but meets all demands. Fine cattleyas are seen and move well at good prices. The supply of violets is rather larger than the present demand. Their qual- ity, however, is good for the early sea- son. The dahlia crop is about over, the recent frosts having destroyed almost all remaining blooms. The carnations have shown marked improvement of late. The flowers are now fair-sized and the stems are approaching a usable length. Good stock is being offered at $6 per hundred. Calendulas and bach- elor's buttons are in good demand and a few zinnias are seen. The demand continues strong in all kinds of greens and supplies. Good potted cyclamens and primulas are seen, also potted chrys- anthemums. They sell well. Palms, ferns, crotons and other decorative plants meet a fair demand. Various Notes. According to the present outlook, Charles W. Curtis is likely to have a bumper crop of pompons, in which he has been specializing during the last few years. His other stock of chrys- anthemums is also promising. The Utica-Rochester Floral Co. has as a window decoration a 5-foot mag- nolia wreath studded with red, white and blue electric lights and
