Monument in Holy Trinity, Long Melford, Suffolk, 1960. The monument to Sir William Cordell in Holy Trinity church, Long Melford, by Cornelius Cure. Sir William was Speaker of the House of Commons and built Melford Hall. His effigy lies on a rolled mat beneath an arched canopy, and is surrounded by the figures of Prudence, Justice, Temperance and Fortitude.
