NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Nov. 30, 2018) Machinist’s Mate 2nd Class Joshua Rakes, from Macomb, Michigan, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford’s (CVN 78) reactor department, receives his Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist pin during a promotion ceremony in the ship’s forecastle. Ford is currently undergoing its post-shakedown availability at Huntington Ingalls Industries-Newport News Shipbuilding.
