The CBCB was established in the newly born Bangladesh in 1971 after a bloody war of independence against the Pakistan rulers and military records say there are about 600,000 Christians in Bangladesh including about 400,000 Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Bangladesh celebrated its Golden Jubilee with priests, nuns and laypeople at CBCB Centre, Mohammadpur, Dhaka on May 27, 2022.
