The Catholic Church of St. Elisabeth commonly known as the Blue Church, Bratislava, Slovakia


Blue Church in Bratislava or The Church of St. Elisabeth (Modry kostolik) is located in the Old Town. The church was designed in the Art Nouveau style. The Little Blue Church in Bratislava, Slovakia was consecrated to Elisabeth of Hungary (daughter of Andrew II) who grew up in the Bratislava Castle. The Church of St. Elisabeth was built between 1903 and 1913 and It is called Blue Church because there is a blue facade, mosaics, majolicas and blue-glazed roof.
