OF THAILAND (June 19, 2018) - Cmdr. Warren Smith, commanding officer of USS Mustin (DDG 89), observes a bilateral visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) exercise in support of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Thailand 2018. The Multilateral (CARAT) exercise, in its 2nd iteration and involving the , Singapore and Thailand, is designed to enhance mutual capabilities in a broad spectrum of naval warfare that enable partner navies to operate effectively together as a unified maritime force.
