Balmoral NSW, Australia Feb 9, 2020: From drought to bush fires and now flooding rain. The town of Balmoral, New South Wales is just 107kms south of Sydney and with a number of nearby towns, was ravaged by bush fires in December 2019 loosing an estimated 18 homes, 10% of the town. This week the eastern parts of the state have received much needed rains that have filled farm dams and greened gardens. This weekend though rain turned torrential with the town receiving 95mm today.
