Oxford's waterways, canals, streams and rivers are a source of many tranquil, scenic delights. But here we see an unusual one. After an extremely cold mid-winter spell of weather, the Oxford Canal froze recently. I have never seen this happen before. Here the ice begins to break up as a thaw sets in, creating these beautiful abstract vistas.
