Hecontinued to run about until June4, 1875, during which time he hadoutgrown his jacket, which was re-moved and a plaster of Paris jacketajDplied. At that time his curvewas as represented in the dark Hne(see fig. 5); the dotted line shows, theresult of extension. He was held out as straight as pos-sible by two assistants pulling, one from the shoulders,and the other from the ankles, a flannel shirt having beenadjusted to his body; then a bandage saturated with plasterof Paris was carried around the pelvis and up to the axillae.^The plaster dried readily, and the child was sent homefeeling quite comfortable.
