In 1884, the works, warehouses, etc., were destroyedby fire with a loss of over a quarter of a million of dollars. Theplant was then removed to Columbus, O., where the old Gill CarWorks buildings have been since occupied, and will be retaineduntil the company can secure a desirable location and erect worksadapted to their requirements. Their specialties are The VictorClover Huller, The Victor Manure Spreader and The Imperial StrawStacker. Over900 machines were sold in |8<SS, and there are now between 4,000 and5,000 in use throughout the Stales and Territories, and over 900 havebeen sold in this State alone. The manure spreader is the only onemade that can be attached to the running gear of an ordinary farmwagon and can also be used without such aids. It is made in foursizes, holding from 31 to 45 bushels according to the size, gnuluatedso as to spread from si.\ to 35 loads per acre, evenly distributed, andenabling the tendrils and shoots to benefit by the compost.
