Celery should receive thorough cultiva- tion if good results are desired. To store for winter use, select well drained ground, dig trenches 1 foot wide and deep enough to cover the tops of the plants. The stalks are very large, thick, solid, crisp, and of a rich nutty flavor, free from any trace of bitterness ; j it blanches very easily and quickly, and retains its freshness a long time after being marketed. The heart is golden yellow, very full and attractive in appearance. Perfection Heartwell. A large solid growing variety of excellent flavor and creamy white color.
