Brachytrachelopan dinosaur with a human figure for scale, illustration. Brachytrachelopan fossils have been found in Argentina, dating from the Tithonian (152 to 145 million years ago) of the Late Jurassic. This sauropod dinosaur had a very short neck. Like other sauropods, it was herbivorous and fed on plants. It grew to lengths of around 10 metres, relatively small for a sauropod. Dinosaurs went extinct long before humans evolved.
