Marine Brig. Gen. Bradford Gering gives his remarks during the Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 231 100 year anniversary celebration at Quantico, Virginia, Feb. 23, 2019. For 100 years VMA-231 has served in major operations spanning both World Wars, The Gulf War, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Gering is the assistant deputy commandant for Marine Corps aviation.
