Hibiscus (Hibiscus sp.) reproductive organs. The large tube (centre) is the style. Attached to the style are the stamen (small projections) consisting of an anther (yellow) and filament (stalk). The stamen is the male reproductive part. Pollen (the male sex cell) lands on the stigma (orange) and burrows into the style forming a pollen tube that carries it to the ovaries, which hold the female sex cells (eggs).
