A woman pumps water with a hand pump due to a lack of electricity in homes as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in the village of Moshchun near Kyiv. A village of Moshchun became an important springboard for the defense of Kyiv in March 2022. The small village survived a month of devastating fighting and Russian occupation. Six months after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the village still lacks electricity and water supply.
