Josh Watson, 1st Air Force, Det. 3 Human Space Flight Support astronaut search and rescue aircraft logistics planner, prepares a combat rubber raiding craft to be loaded on a C-17 Globemaster III at Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina, Oct. 11, 2022. In the event of a catastrophic in-flight failure of a SpaceX rocket, a rescue mission will launch from JB Charleston, conduct an overwater airdrop, and secure the capsule and crew.
