Hansen stepped up as first cook in the absence of a team member and ensured her team succeeded in serving the best meal possible. The 109th culinary team has spent the past three years competing at state and regional levels to have a chance at winning the national title for best culinary operation in the Army National Guard, field-feeding category. They are now competing against three National Guard units from Nebraska, New York and Virginia. The Philip A.
