Tlaxcala de Xicohténcatl, Mexico, February 20th, 2020. The opening parade of the 2020 Carnival in the street of the state capital. Under the theme "Rescue and Conservation of Our Customs and Traditions" the parade features various group of participants, called litters of Huehue wearing traditional costumes from around the state. The huehues of Tlaxcala have their origin in the seventeenth century.
