An impressive porch leads into a courtyard lavishly decorated with fine carving and multi-arched parapets crowning the walls

The Bishop's Palace is located immediately beside historic St David's Cathedral. The palace was built between 1328 and 1347 as a residence for the powerful Bishops of St Davids. The cathedral was begun around 1180, and is a striking building of the local purple/red sandstone.
