The violent surge in the West Bank and Eastern Jerusalem started when two Jewish Israeli settlers were killed, while at the same time, two Palestinian teenagers were killed when they attacked Jewish Israeli settlers. On October 03 2015, a 19-year-old Palestinian from Ramallah, Mohannad Shafiq Halabi, killed two Jewish Israeli settler men before being shot and killed by an Israeli police officer. Less than 24 hours later, another 19-year-old Palestinian, Fadi Samir Mustafa Alloun, from the neighborhood of al-Issawiya in Eastern Jerusalem, attempted to stab an Israeli teenager near the entrance to the old city of Jerusalem. He was also shot and killed by Israeli police. (Photo by Anna Ferensowicz / Pacific Press)
